Hey all. I've been having some issues that I believe are related to a weak power supply, and have been looking for a replacement. I've got two picked out from Newegg, and am unsure which one I should be going for. The ultimate goal is to (hopefully) solve my PSU issues, and leave room for a vid card/HDD upgrade in the next 6 motnths. Here are the links.

Corsair 750W

Antec 850W

The Antec seems like the better choice; Higher peak output, more cost effective, etc, but i'm ignorant of what's REALLY important in a PSU. Simply put, i'm just too uneducated on the topic to feel like I can make an effective decision. I'm going to browse the guides and learn what I can, but any input from the community would be welcome.

System
---------------------------
CPU: i7 930, LGA 1366
GFX Card: GTX 260
MOBO: ASUS P6X58D-E
RAM: 6GB DDR3 (3 x 2GB sticks)
1 HDD
1 CD/DVD RW Combo

Unsure if it's important
-----------------------------
7-in-1 card reader
G5 Logitech keyboard; LCD display makes me think it might actually use a decent amount of power.

the problem with the Antec is it uses the CPX form factor and as such, will only fit in a few Antec cases(1200, P183, P193), unless you are into serious case modding. :ouch:

When picking between the CP-850 and the 750TX which case you have is the biggest factor as clarkjd pointed out, the CP-850 is the CPX form factor, it is only used by antec, and not in all of their cases, only the higher end ones. The 750TX is strong enough for most dual GPU setups, there are only a few that would justify moving up to an 850W unit, but the CP-850 is weaker than most 850W units its much closer to a 750W unit so i wouldnt consider it much of a step up in output capacity.
