Should i use my Dual gigabit(sp) connection in the back of my motherboard using 2 Lan cords or just leave it single? also my motherboard is the x58i XFX

One of those ports is best used for the Internet connection and the other to provide a secure LAN or Local Area Network, to which you can assign fixed IP addresses within a range - say, 10.0.0.1, 10.0.0.3 etc. so that the LAN is kept well away from the Internet connection, That said, it doesn't take away the need for strong firewalls and anti-malware utilities.[/#000ff]
