Unable to open maxtor external hard disk

Unable to open maxtor external hard disk. But it works well on other cpu system. Please let me know to solve the problem on my computer.

We need a little more info to help you. Is it an usb drive? Does anything happen, if you connect it? Is it recognized in exporer, but you can not see the files or what?
