Confused about the recall????

So in some places I read that the CPUs are bad, and in others they say it is the 67 series chipsets.
Which is it? Or is it both?

its the "cougar point" chip that controls the sata 3gb/s ports
on all the h67 and p67 boards (anyboard that supports sandy bridge chip) is recalled.

Ok so that means the CPU's themselves are fine, its the motherboards that have to be redone...

Yes its just the motherboards. The CPU's are still badass.

SATA 2 ports on the chipset only. Chip itself has no known flaws

Another forum, probably just some mis informed people, I think alot of people are just hearing "sandy bridge" and "recall" and they jump to the conclusion that its the processors.

I beleive the recall is for the sata 3+ ports the first two sata ports aren't affected.
