Hello, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NW270F, nice machine, fast enough really, just two well piss me off things.. Mostly for some reason when I am multitasking, my audio goes to hell, like when I am watching a movie and downloading. I know thats a CPU issue.. So that's one mark against the CPU, the other mark is, I would like to go back to Windows XP, of coarse this processor will not allow it.. GRRR.. Oh my processor is the Intel Core Duo T6600. 2.2GHz speed

Now I do not want to lose speed, rather keep or gain a bit, but I want the V core, anyone know a good upgrade?

Actually, that sounds more like a driver issue. And i'm not sure why your processor would not "allow" you to go back to XP. I've seen tons of T6xxx series procesors in laptops running XP Pro. There's nothing stopping you from going to XP. Most, if not all, of the hardware in a laptop that age will have XP drivers floating around out there for it.
