5 Sticks of RAM on a 6 Slot Motherboard

Hey guys,

Had an idea about moving 2 Sticks of quite decent RAM from my sister's computer into mine...

My motherboard is an EVGA X58 SLI LE
- Dual or Triple Channel DDR3

If you need the RAM specs I can dig into her tower

You should stick to using either 3 or 6 sticks of ram and have them all be the same type or else they won't run in triple channel.

First you check compatibility with your ram and your sister's ram.

Probably not a good idea mix-matching the RAM.

It's best to use the CONFIGURATIONS below and the SAME: Frequency, CAS Timings, Voltage and Type.
