So I am trying to build my own computer. After much research I have came up with a plan.

Current Plan:

CASE= Rosewill CHALLENGER
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspxItem=N82E16811147153&Tpk=rosewill%20chalenger
$55
MOBO= ASRock 870 EXTREME3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157198&cm_re=asrock_870_am3-_-13-157-198-_-Product
$100
PROCESSOR= Phenom II 955 Be
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808&cm_re=phenom_955-_-19-103-808-_-Product
$153
HARD DRIVE= SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&Tpk=samsung%20f3%201tb
$75
RAM= G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303&cm_re=g.skill-_-20-231-303-_-Product
$95
VIDEO CARD=SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908&Tpk=6850%20sapphire
$187
POWER SUPPLY=Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371015&cm_re=antec_ea650_650w-_-17-371-015-_-Product
$70

Cooler Master 212 for $27 and Some CD thing for 20 dollars.

Total: $782

I am mildly confused on the best mobo for me. I don't plan to crossfire or OC so a expensive motherboard isn't necessary.
Also I have no clue what I am doing or how im going to do this. This probably isn't going to happen till the beginning of next year but since i know nothing I thought i should start learning.

My budget was 1000 dollars to start but I realized i could do this for under 800. The cheaper the better but I still want a good mid-high end computer. I currently cant afford this right now either so the cheaper the better.

Thoughts, comments and new ideas wanted and accepted.
P.S. i hope my links work

actually looking at your build it seems very good :)

the only thing maybe would be the corsair 650tx its a nice psu on sale also but i guess if your not buying for awhile what does it matter.

asrock 870 very nice mobo i need

If you plan on building this at the beginning of next year, I would recommend coming back the week of and asking then. So much can change in that period of time.

But that is a pretty solid build.

I'm open to the corsair but why is it better. The earthwatts seems good priced at 70 dollars but the other 90 and its like 120 normal. What makes it better?

im just more familiar with the corsair one they have never let me down im sure you couldn't go wrong with either one .
i guess its my preferences sorry bout that although im sure there is an advantage to paying the premium for the corsair but i couldnt tell you why it is better . ill will do research though to answer this for you and anyone else who ask in the future

ahh did some research and came up with this

corsair is built on seasonic high quality
while the antec is one a delta platform

now something else i found is that
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
is beter then both

Uh, not quite. Corsair uses Channel Well for most of their PSUs, except the AX line, IIRC. Antec PSUs are build by HEC, CWT, Delta, and Seasonic. The Basiq line is built by FSP.
But that particular Antec is based on the Seasonic M12D, which is probably the best design on the market.
