Vtx hd 4890 - bad performance

i have
hd 4890
amd athlon 635
asus m4a785td-v evo
ram adata 2G 1333
hec 500W

windows xp pro sp3 32

when run far cry 2 Benchmark Tool in 1600x900 , overall quality-very high, AA=4x , AF=8x (Ranch Small)
average frame rate is 35fps

and tomshardware charts in same quality have 55fps

where is the problem? or this is the true

High pal i dont know much about your problem ...but i have got 2 thing to say ...first that 4890 is too powerfool & FARCRY 2should not LAG even when MAXEDOUT ..dont pay attantion to FPS ...& second thing is ..if you dont see answer after 2 days of asking ...you should ask another where maybe in games line or system ...or choose ATI from Graphic cards . GOOD LUCK

Well, don't rely too much on benchmarking tools, play that game and see what fps do you get using FRAPS:

Is game laging ? if yes so something unnatrual is happning . if no ...dont confuse your self in benchmarking tools & FPS .... just enjoy the game

What is your current CPU speed?
What resolution did you play at?

when i used dx10 in windows 7 ,the result was 44fps ,but the game was laging
so i remove it and reinstall xp because the game never lag with it

my cpu speed 2.9 & resolution 1600x900

i OC the cpu to 3.2 and run the game in lowest quality & 1600x900 i have 99fps
while ati hd 4670 512mb have 106fps in same quality
