Hello,
http://www.datacenterhardware.com/products/network-accessories-internal-power-c-78_110/4-pin-male-to-seven-4-pin-female-power-splitter-cablep1t7-p-291?zenid=blhcqodcs

Would this work to hook up a video card? I Have a psu that is sli and cross ready but only has one molex?!? It doesn't even have 6 pin pci-e connector? So the idea is to connect the molex splitter to my current and only available molex, which essentially would turn it into 7 molex. Would need 1 molex for the HardDrive and 4 molex for video card. Curious if this is even possible? Don't want to fry mobo or video card.

Thanks

My PSU is a 600w Extreme Gear PSU
Cossfire and sli ready. At least that is how it's described on my invoice.

Extreme Gear PSUs are crap, they dont supply anywhere near the power their total wattage would lead you to believe. The 600W unit only has 31A between its 12V rails, the Corsair 400CX had 30A, also, if you look at the label it says 472W(31A), now thats a bit scary for me since 31A would be 372W and 472W would be 39.3A so the fact they cannot do math concerns me about their ability to make a good PSU.

Check the side of your PSU to see if it reads even remotely similar to that one.

If your PSU really only has one molex connector and no PCI-E connectors i would relegate it to door stop and get a good unit like the Seasonic S12II 520W which comes with 2 PCI-E connectors and plenty of molex connectors.

Trying to pull that much power from that small of a gauge of wire will most likely result in wires melting and a blown PC in the end. Do not even think about trying that get a new unit and respect the fact that electricity can be dangerous to you and your system.
