Rampage fomula memory question

I have a Rampage III fomula motherboard with Corsair DDR3-1600 ram in it. I have 3x2GB (6GB) in it now and would like to add another 3x2GB (6GB). (It's Down to 45 dollars.)

The notes in my board book mention this "Due to Intel spec definition, X.M.P. DIMMs and DDR3-1600 are supported for one DIMM per channel only." on page 2-15.


The Qualified vendor list on page 2-19 of the manual shows the ram:

Vendor Part # 2DIMM 3DIMM 4DIMM 6DIMM
CORSAIR TR3X6G1600C9 VER2.1 (XMP) . . . .

Says I can put it in all the slots.

What do you guys think of this? Is it conflicting? Or am I missing something?

Hate to buy it and not have it work and send it back and get a restocking fee.

ASUS claims to have tested the CORSAIR TR3X6G1600C9 VER2.1 (XMP) with 6 DIMMs in all six DIMM sockets.

Either you trust ASUS or you don't.
