Hello,
Right now I have this kit installed: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8T-6GBRM
It's running exactly at its factory specs, 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 1.60V. I would like to add either 6GB or 12GB and keep the same settings. The 3x2GB version is not available anymore, but they do have a 3x4GB version of the same RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8T-12GBRM
I would like to make this process as painless as possible, with a stable system. What should I do? The 3x4GB kit is a bit expensive :/ However, the 3x2GB is available in the USA, so I can get it when I go there, but that will be later.
My CPU is an i7 950 @ 3.84GHz (turbo on), 160 BCLK and 10x RAM multiplier.
Thanks!
