Hello community,

Two questions for you, after a bit of history. I'm currently running an XFX HD-4870, and for the most part its pretty good, but sometimes I feel like it could be a little better, and also I was thinking of adding a third monitor within the next year.

So my computer hosts as Gygabyte MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128401, 650 Corsair Power Supply, i5 750, and the previous Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150436

I wanted to know 1) If my computer specs can handle a second Video Card with Crossfire (I think they can, but just to be a little more sure)

And 2) If I should pick up a second 4870 while they're still around or wait a about 6-8 months (which is the latest I want to make this purchase) and replace the Video Card entirely with a newer model. Please keep in mind I'd really like to have a third monitor at around that time.

I know it would be cheaper to get the 4870 now than whatever Video Card I might pick up in 6-8 months, but what I'm wondering is if I should wait and get like a $200 card in 6-8 months with DirectX11 compatibility, assuming we're going to see more price drops in the VC market over that time anyway. Whatever choice I make I'd like to not have to worry too much about another VC upgrade for at least 2 years from now so the choice should have approximately that much future proofing, if possible.

Thanks!
