im pretty new to building so here it goes

im going to be using this build for gaming and school research (when needed)

my budget is $500-600 max i will by keyboard, mouse, and monitor separately.

as far as overclock, raid, and crossfirex i will be doing them much later when ihave more knowledge about them but i need a system now because what i have now is about 7-8yrs old lol cant take it too slow

so far this is what i have (want it to last atleast 3-5yrs)

CPU: Phenom II X3 740

MOBO: MSi 790X-G45

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws series 4GB

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5770

HD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500gb

Drive: dont know kinda want something that can play blueray but if budget cant afford it then its ok

PSU: dont know any quality once im guessing id need 600-700 for future overclock and crossfirex

Case: antec threehundred illusion black?

pretty much i want the "best bang for your(my) buck"
if there are combo deals pls let me know

thank you for taking your time

Here is a build -

Corsair 650TX + Corsair 4GB DDR3

CASE - A very good one...
NZXT GAMMA

HDD - It is $10 cheaper here -

DVD

Total - ~$401 Not including the graphic card...
If you want to spend very less, then the HD 5770 would be good...

But if you will be going with a high resolution monitor, then the HD 6850 might be a good option...

HD 6850 would be better for 1080p, if it doesnt break your budget...

I would probobly have to go with 5770 because i added windows7 home premiun and right now with everything added up its $698.79 with 5770 and windows7 home premium and there are two $20 mailinrebates to do one for each: gpu and psu

comes down to $658.79 including MIRs +tax+shipping with your build

its seems like a good deal to me just wanna hear more inputs

this is based on the build above provided by gkay09

^ HD 5770 is fine, but in some games you might have to lower the settings though...
