Okay. so altogether this is a $1,428.59 Gaming system.

It comes with Hex core AMD, HDMI monitor, GTX470, Razor mouse and keyboard. Cooling fans, Blue leds, and 4Gb of Dual channel memory.

My question is... is this a good build???

Anything i should do differently?

How much do you think i could OC the CPU to?

Is the cooling going to be enough???? <--- *note, I was going to replace the back exhaust fan with the 92 CFM thermaltake smart blue fan. Then drop in the PCI slot Video card cooler 2 slots below the GTX470.
As for the huge ass heatsink for the cpu... Do you think i could fit my ram with that thing resting on my Phenom? o-o... Also, i got the HD cooler just to mount under my HD and hopefully the air will blow towards the Ramchips and CPU aswell. lol... IDK... Should this thing stay cold? or burn up in seconds????

and How much do you think i could OC this Graphics card stably at?

And for like around $1420 with $65 of mail in rebates... so like $1,360 worth of things, is this build worth that amount??? or did i just waste a ton of money? o-o

And no, i want to keep my Antec 902 case. its just cool. unless you convince me otherwise of a better air flowing spacious case that costs less. and still looks as cool.

^ Hexa-cores dont offer any advantage of a gaming PC, but if you are comfortable with overclocking a locked multiplier CPU, then the 1055T is fine...
You cant do SLI on that board, so better to stick with AMD cards...the HD 6870 is a very good option IMO...
There are many parts that have better alternatives,...Here is a complete rebuild...

First, no bumping. Mods are starting to crack down on that so I mention it whenever I see it.

The PSU is junk and only a 160GB drive? I could see a 160GB SSD, but a 160GB normal drive? I'd look for something bigger/faster. If this is a gaming machine I'd also look into getting a faster quad core. The 955/965 is a better choice. You might also want to consider an 880 board, or at least a non 790GX board. Seems a bit of a waste to spend $1.4K and not get USB3.

Okay thanks man.. So i had too much cooling? o-o
And yeah, i heard that the psu i picked will die off soon and take everything with it. so i was going to switch to an antec. and get rid of the gaming mouse pad too.
And thanks for the cpu cooler suggestion. Im sure my Mobo will be happier with that thing on it, taking up less space lol.

The artic silver is an obvious. lol

I really dont need a terabyte of hard drive though. like i could settle for 180gb o-o.\

You really helped me out. the more i save and the better stuff i get, the more happier i'm going to be :p...

so should i get the phenom x4 top tier cpu? o-o
And i dont know much for amd boards either.
All i know is that all of them only support dual channel memory and its rare to find an sli one.

Could you help me look up another case. one that everything you suggested will fit in. I dont like the look of that one, it looks like something alienware would send you. :p I wanna be different lol.

Aah well I like unique designs so that's why I have it, I dont really like boxish looking cases which is why I dont like HAF or those other popular cases

I would get a terabyte man, getting less space is just the dumbest thing you can do, hard drives are RIDICULOUSLY cheap, you might pay lets say 20 bucks for that hard drive, it'll be worth 20 cents in a few years. Terabyte drive are riduclously cheap, space is good, that way you can have huge files in the future, you never know, youre not gonna free up space just randomly, only take up more and more.

That Hyper 212+ will do an amazing job, you can ask anyone, and it was definitely too much cooling :)

If you're absolutely sure you don't want the NZXT, then you'll have to look around one using the power search on Newegg, that case has 4 awesome fans, figured itd cool your parts real nice

Make sure you get the G.Skill Ripjaws 4 GB, you don't need more than that, and no more than a quad-core, ask others for what CPU and MOBO you should get since it's AMD
