I posted the system without any explanation. I'm looking for a gaming system that will last 3-4 years, with possible band-aid upgrades along the way to keep current.

I don't plan to OC. I do have a monitor, mouse and keyboard (hence the KVM switch)... one system for iTunes, photo and movie storage and a new system for gaming.

I'd like to keep the price under $1000, and as low as possible as this will be a second system and mainly a luxury upgrade.

I think these components are solid buys, the CPU being a bit on the low end. Overall, do you think this is a decent budget build? Any horrible choices? All input is welcome and appreciated!

Thank you for your consideration!

Some changes -
For a gaming PC, IMO the X3 would suffice, also a 3.1GHz X3 would perform better than the 2.8GHz X4 in gaming...

Double up the HDD like gkay recommended, honestly no point in spending 5 bucks less for half the space

and itd be nice if you provided us with links next time, and instead of double posting just edit your original post :)  Welcome to the forums... infidel...

and you chose an AMD... AMD makes Reaper sad... :(
