Format HD

I have 4 hd that were used in a machine with Raid. I know one of them were bad, I would like to know if I can
format the HD with out putting an os on them. Like do one at a time in my computer as a Slave drive, and just
format it with out putting an os on it? now they have XP on them. I'll be going to windows 7 later on.

Wow, that was a good link, Thank a lot !!!! But still back to could I put the extra HD as a SLAVE drive and format it using the same computer that has xp on it. Another words when it is installed as a Slave drive could i put the xp cd in and find format and just tell it what drive to format, lol not the one with the OS on it. ha ha ha
