More about build
  1. ok, fpr this price, and NOT needing Memory or a case...

    I'd get a new monitor 1600x900 ($120), 1680x1050 ($150), or 1920x1080 ($140)

then a I5-760, Entry-level board (AS Rock, EVGA), and a GTX 460 should do.
  2. Was thinking about cutting back on the video card for now. I dont play any demanding games at the moment and working two jobs im not going to for a while. I was thinking about going with a gt 240 just for general use and then when the new 500 series cards from nvidia come out picking up something like a 560.
  3. maybe. but you can probly get a 450 or 460 in your price range.
  4. yep. here's the parts you'll need, since you have RAM and a CASE already:

    MSI GTX 460 CYCLONE 1GD5/OC + Intel i5-760: $395.99 w/ $15 MIR
comes with a free copy of HAWX 2 as well

ASRock H55M-LE LGA 1156 Intel H55 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard: $61.99
Its got only a single PCIe slot, but it's solid for what you're looking for.

    Sea Sonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze PSU: $59.99
One of the best PSU's, all the power you really need, for $60. what's not to like?

    Seagate 7200.12 Baraccuda. 1 TB. $54.99
I'd usually recommend the Samsung, but this is on sale for the price of a 500 GB.

    LG 22x DVD Burner: $16.99
    Basic SATA DVD burner.

    Acer 21.5" 1920x1080 monitor. $139
Acer is very reliable, and this is inexpensive -- most other monitors at this price are 1440x900!

    Subtotal: $729.94

    Shipping: $13.86

    Grand Total: $743.80
