I am looking at building a new gaming pc and I am also looking to keep costs down. I will be mostly playing FPS games such as Crysis and Call of Duty with the occasional RTS thrown in. Based on information that I have gleaned from this site and others this is the build that I have assembled.

CPU- AMD 955 BE
MB- AS ROCK 870 EXTREME 3
GPU- AMD 6870 I will eventually want to buy a second for xfire but for now I can only afford one
PSU-CMPSU-750TX
RAM-CORSAIR XMS3 8GB
HD- SPINPOINT F4
CASE-HAF 922
MISC-HYPER 212 COOLING FAN

Any thoughts and opinions on this build or ways to improve would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for the time.

Overall, looks ok. 8 GB is overkill for gaming, though the XMS3 RAM is excellent value right now. Something like $65 for 4 GB from newegg, I think?

Typically the Spinpoint F3 is recommended as the best value, not the F4.

Really, that's about the only criticism I have. Looks like a very good mid-range gaming build.

Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and changed to Spinpoint f3. I also changed the ram to 4 gb of G.SKILL Ripjaws Series which is 74.99 at the egg. Does that sound like a good deal.
