I've tried researching but I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. Does the Extreme 3 Gen 3 have a built in wireless network card? Or will i have to purchase one.... If i have to purchase one, which one should I get to go with a 2wire gateway 2701HG-G?

Help is appreciated.

Ty for the response, though I would prefer wired, I believe I would have to go wireless. I've selected a card, after researching them. Most of them seem to have mixed reviews, so we'll see what happens.

Hmm, that's quite interesting.... Tempting as well. My wireless connection would likely be terrible considering it has to go through like 2-3 walls. It's definitely something to consider, thank you.

Hey. I have the Asrock Professional Gen3. I'm running Windows 7 Ult 64. Different board than yours, but avoid this USB wireless connector:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166056&Tpk=RNX-N180UBE

Absolutely, positively could NOT get it to work (neither could a lot of other people).

Then I got this USB wireless and it works great:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3173666

Worked perfect right from the start.

I also have powerline networking running on this board with these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156283

Initial set up of the tpl303e2k was a bit of a problem (read my newegg review for the whole story) but once I got it sorted they have been great.

Note: You won't get anywhere near the advertised speeds with the powerline networking, and if you, say, turn on an appliance or stove, dishwasher, etc. it can impact your speed / quality.
