Upgrading my pc... need help :P

okay, so back in 2003 i bought a stock everything Dell computer..
Only came with 256mb of ram and a terrible graphics card .

System specs are,
Intel Pentium 4 2.66ghz, 768 mb ram,
Ati radeon 9250 256mb graphics card
not sure about power supply.

lol

So i was looking at getting something that can atleast run farmville with no super lagg for my mom. , I was going to make my own high end pc later on.

I was going to keep the small mini atx case that came with it. lol...

The problem is the power supply is mounted on the top of the case, so i need a power supply that has the back side fan. lol

i think 600W psu is also overkilling it o-o.

Hmm by my calculations u have spent $355 w/o a case and Rosewill is actually progressing wth their PSUs with the Green/Xtreme 80+ series but -ve to RV2 @@ Also GT430 for $65AR is awful frames/$$ as even previous gen HD 4670/9600GT stomps all over it

^ Agreed, cept this not like an upgrade, it's just a new computer basically.

Umm... another card you might look into is the XFX 4850, it's 115$ but after MIR its only 89$... Plus XFX has 2 lifetime warranty and a great support network. But... uhh otherwise if you don't like MIRs then the 5670 is the way to go.

a GTS 450 for 95$ After MIR, it's EVGA so I would suspect the MIR to be good. Plus EVGA has the step up program which is really sweet for future upgrades. Also it comes with to 50$ games, HAWX 2 and Civ 5. (I have HAWX 1 and it was pretty fun I'd expect Hawx 2 to be the same)
