This is my m2n32 Sli Deluxe motherboard system and my subwoofer does it work. This is a 5.1 sound surround system with speakers I bought in 2006.

It works when I got into control panel and click test my speakers and I got my Soundmax Audio Settings service in the background and ASUS's latest drivers.

I am using the built in analogue devices ad1988b audio controller with my nvidia 590 sli chipset with my motherboard.

I cannot identify my speakers manufacturer and all I know it's RCA cables and QC passed Q6.

I wonder if my motherboard audio controller is defective I ordered new components from newegg so
CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
ASRock P67 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
XIGMATEK ACK-I5361 Intel Core i7/Core i5/1155 compatible Bracket Set so I can install my Xigamatek HDT-S1283 R heatsink

Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro 7.1PCI-E Sound Card
Zotac Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 Video Card 768mb

I installed them all but I can hear the subwoofer in 32 bit Internet explorer 7 and not in 64 bit or Empire Total war.

Disable your onboard audio if you're using a discrete card.
You could also dump the onboard audio drivers.
