So I had my heart set on picking up a 460 at my local Microcenter. There I was with cash in hand when I spy a BFG OC GTX 275 for....$143. WTF? Open box and there were 2 plus a 260 Maxcore. I dropped the 460 and picked up the 275 plus the 1 year in-store warranty ($25). So I spent $169 and can get back the $143 if this dies on me. I do not have an SLI board, but my question is, would it be worth it to get the other 275, as I plan on upgrading my MOBO for SLI in the next couple of months? Heck would it be worth it if I also picked up that 260 to use as a PhysX card for $110?

Solution
They were worth that before the gtx 460 came out.
A 460 at 810 easily beats the gtx 275. I would not buy two of them. Its not a bad deal though.

Hmmm...the 460 1gig reviews show that the GTX 275 is about on par with it a difference of 1 to 5 fps in most games. DX 11 isn't really a problem for me. I had planned on picking up the 460 to SLI later on, but again a GTX 275 for $143 v.s. GTX 460 for $199. Google gives me range of $200-$300 for a new 275.

Oh well, a 5% performance difference doesn't look so bad. Stupid reflex on my part seeing a near top of the line (back then) nVidia card going for a (relative) low price.

I guess I'll hold off on SLI until I see what ATI (I mean AMD) brings in with the 6 series. Thoughts on using the 260 for PhysX? Never mind, the price jumped to $157 for the 260. I guess one of the staff just saw "MaxCore" and upped the price, and someone bought the other 275. Thanks guys.
