If you are installing a fresh os here you could have a memory issue, or not enough Ram for the install to continue

Well you don't want, though many do, to turn-off VM. The setting depends on how much RAM you have installed. My suggestion is to either leave as Automatic or if you are using an SSD and have 4GB or more physical RAM installed manually set it to 2GB or 2048MB.
