CPU fan went crazy

Solution
I'd get a temp monitor program going to see if the CPU temps are getting crazy... and the fan is just properly trying to control the situation and keep the CPU from going into thermal shutdown.

If the temps are fine... then the fan control algorithm is either getting a bad temp reading from the CPU... misinterpreting the reading... or just generally going into the weeds... :) You can probably go into BIOS and take the CPU out of 'Auto/Dynamic' control mode... and force it into a more steady 'always on/static' mode if its annoying... just make sure the thermals are good.
