CPU + Motherboard (Phenom II 955 + ASUS M4A89GTD

PSU + Memory (Corsair 650w + Corsair 4GB 1600) use promo code EMCZZYX24 for $10 off PSU

Case + Hard Drive (Haf 912 + Spinpoint F3 1TB)

Video Card (Gigabyte HD 6850) Stick with AMD, since you're board supports crossfire 8x,8x

Cpu Cooler (Hyper 212+)

Here's a better build for around the same price. Motherboard supports 8x, 8x so you can add another 6850 later down the road if you need to.

Some changes -
GPU - HD 6850 - With that board, you can go Crossfire, so going with ATI would be a better option...

PSU + RAM - Get a slightly bigger PSU

HAF 912 + Samsung F3 1TB

Thermal compound - Get an electrically non-conductive compound like this one -

CPU Cooler - If you will not be overclocking very high, then check out this cooler, with rebates is a very good deal IMO and also you can do aways with the thermal compound as this comes with one...
