I am building a HTPC, am wondering about what graphics card to use. i was thinking along the lines of an ATI 5570 of 5670 but i am not sure whether these are the right cards to use, should i go lower or higher. i dont want to use an mobo intergrated graphics solution, because these are not upgradable. i havent looked at the nvidia options, so any suggestions would be a great help.

thx

Solution
Do you play games? If yes, then get that HD5570 (low profile), that's should enough to handle HTPC works like watching video or just surfing web, it's also good enough to play games... :)
Motherboards with onboard graphics can be upgraded by adding a discreet video card and disabling the onboard video.

According to Anandtech, the HD5570 is the perfect HTPC card, identical to the HD5670 in HTPC performance. If you need more gaming muscle go for the HD5670. If media playback is all you need then onboard graphics or the HD5570 will work just fine.
