Taking long time for games to tab out and exit

This might not be a hardware issue but as the title says sometimes (other times they are quick) it takes along time for games to load up, tab out and quit my system has a i7 930 oc'd, 6GB ram and 2x5870s so it should tab out no problem but it can take sometimes 30secs of black screen to return to desktop and other times its instant, also i can sometimes have 5 mins of black screen before the games loading and others its very quick (as i would expect of a system like mine). My ingame performance seems the same if its slow to tab out or not ie crysis wardhead runs at 50fps if its taking 2 mins to tab out or 2 seconds. I have virtual memory set to 6GB and 2MB of RAM hardware reserved.

Sounds like a hard drive issue.

anyway to confirm this like my HDD was supposed to be quick is it just my system being too fast for it?

what temps? what os?

um win 7 and temps are around 48 idle

download system explorer. run it and then check what is using a lot of CPU. if its DPCs its your hdd. If its something else right click properties then you will see dlls. See which file is causing it
