I have one of these with a pcmcia cd rom and a blank formatted hard
disk (due to a fix after our baby son pulled it onto the floor).
I don't have a recovery cd and cannot get the pcmcia cd to be seen when
I use a boot disk (win 98 or win me).
I am wondering if anyone has any idea how to resolve this. I have an
identical working system (bought for my dad). Is it possible to do
something or take something from this one (besides his disk!).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ISTR you can get a DOS cardbus enabler for the 240 from ibm.com ...
