i want to run amd athlon 2 x2 240 2.8 ghz am3 socket processor on gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-US2H with atleast 2 gb ram also for gaming .is it a gud compatibility package ? plz suggest !!!

Try to go for at least a tri or quad core if you can afford it. 4 GB of RAM is recommended for gaming. Motherboard looks good though.

less than $170.my friend has an amp sempron 140 with MSI K9N6PGM2-V with 512 shared memory .and i have seen him running many games like far cry2,nfs prostreet etc.i just want mine to be able to play just high to medium end games,and with the latest motherboard features like firewire and integrated graphics.
