Unknown usb device error

Hello everyone i am new here. I have question to ask.
I just bought a amd phenom ii x4 955 and a asus m4a88tm le motherboard . After that i formated my hdd and installed win 7 ultimate and amd motherboard drivers. Now when i connect a usb device it shows Unknown usb device (except my mouse and keyboard) . Please help me.

Try to run the Windows update again, and check the asus web for fresh drivers, make sure u have them all installed.

Well i have a bad bad luck. My 1st usb drive connected to usb get damaged by usb power. Now the other devices are working fine.

any idea how can i recover the data from a undetected pen drive

Is it undetected in all ports? Do u have other PC to see if it get detected?

What model name is it?

The model is transcend jf v10 8gb and its also undetectable on other usb interfaces on other pcs. Its light didn't glow either.
