No. Those cpus aren't listed under "cpu" for any versions of your board. It may be due to the voltage requirement. The limit for your board is 95 watts; some model cpus have more than one voltage available, so choose carefully. You can upgrade your board for about $75, but be sure your system isn't oem by dell, packard bell, acer, etc. Those windows operating systems are board dependent. Changing boards may cause your windows system to stop posting. Some unlisted 95 watt cpus may work, but be prepared to change boards just in case.

Phenom II 940BE, it's a AM2+ Phenom, thus should cost u no more than a AM3 Athlon II x4 640.

Although it runs at 125watt TDP, it's AM2+ so it'll work for sure

Besides, u can have 4 real cores as overclock it to a Phenom II 975's speed with ease

U sure that Phenom II 940BE is supported by my motherboard?and i dont think that there is a black edition of phenom IIX4,is there??

If this is your motherboard

http://www.ecs.com.tw/website2008/Product/Product_Detai...

about the best CPU's listed as supported are either the Athlon II X2 265 or the more potent Phenom II X2 560 I see only very slow energy efficient Phenom II X4's that are supported the 905e and the 900e

The propus quads will work, as they are only 95 watts, but missing the third level cache of the phenom II's. Before ordering any cpu, use cpuid (cpuz) to check the version of your motherboard. There are about four versions. Then click on "cpu" on ecs webpage for your board and check the supported cpus again. Some may work, but post as "unknown cpu". I strongly recommend you avoid ordering any 125w phenom II's; chances are they won't work; they may post once, then the system may shut down.

Looks like an oem system with low budget power supply, maybe as low as 250 watts. It would be a small miracle to get the phenom II to work with such a weak unit. I still recommend a 95 watt cpu, whatever you choose.

^ Not worth it, it;s a Thuban based, if normal Phenom IIs don't work
Dont count on that chip to work

But it's 95W TDP and AM3/AM2+ compatible..
