ChipSet/WindowsXP question

My 4 yr old MB just died. I'm RMAing it but we're talking weeks!! Is there anyway to change to another motherboard - WITH A DIFFERENT Chipset type and STILL be able to Retain the Windows Operating System??????

4 years old and you are RMAing it?

it wont even be covered by a warranty after 4 years

Just buy a new board , and reinstall windows from scratch
