Power Supply. Its The Big Unit inside the case, usually at the top of the case. Will have all the power/hdd wires coming from it, going to your motherboard, optical drives hard drives etc..

So what exactly that 400W? We need more info...
Generic 400W can't run HD4870 or HD5770 properly...

To be safe, i suggest HD5670, that card doesn't need a lot power and a decent upgrade from your 8400GS.

ohk so by all replies here, i feel that ati radeon is better than nvidia...
ohk can i play nfs shift in it? or games like that, i dont need it for hardcore gaming like crysis and all, but basically i need it to run photoshop cs5 extended smoothly which lags in this graphic card and play some games as like nfs, prince of persia n all

Yes, HD5670 or GT240 is a WORTH upgrade from your 8400GS, you'll see a HUGE performance increase...
YEs, you can play those games with a decent setting with that card. :)

Who's from Indonesia?

HD4850 or GTS250 is better than HD5670 but it require 450W minimum with 6 pin power connector. I doubt the OP PSU have it (it only 400W)...

Well, i'm from Indonesia too... :)

But running HD4850 or GTS250 on generic 400W PSU is not recommended. It could fail anytime and can take everything (broke) inside your PC...
