6870 is within spit range of 5870 is terms of performance and cost A LOT cheaper.

It also scales better in crossfire, use less power, etc.

The 5870 is faster than the 6870—don't let the model numbering fool you. The 6800-series cards are intended for the mid-range market. The 5800- and 5900-series are AMD's high-end cards.

Although I guess for this price range the 6870 is a better choice.

It looks good to me.
The case isn't my personal favorite, I'd go for a HAF922 or CM690II Advanced or Lancool PC-K62 over it.

I'd also change the hard drive to the Spinpoint F3 1tb if it's cheaper, otherwise stick with WD.
