Hi!

I'm ordering this PC today. :bounce:

I've done some research but would still love to get some insights on my final build before ordering.

If you believe you could get more performance for the same price or less by changing a thing or two, let me know!! :hello:

Here's the PC :

*The prices are in CAD$
*I'm shopping on DirectCanada.ca

Thanks in advance! :D

Why is the 6870 the way to go. The 5870 gets more fps.

6870 is within spit range of 5870 is terms of performance and cost A LOT cheaper.

It also scales better in crossfire, use less power, etc.

The 5870 is faster than the 6870—don't let the model numbering fool you. The 6800-series cards are intended for the mid-range market. The 5800- and 5900-series are AMD's high-end cards.

Although I guess for this price range the 6870 is a better choice.

even overclocked the 6870 is 10fps off the 5870 stocked. And when you only have 60fps 10fps is over 15% of all you got.

TY Vindictive but I think I'll still go with the 6870 and add another one later on considering the price gap between the 2.

Ordering in ~1h.

Is the build OK?

It looks good to me.
The case isn't my personal favorite, I'd go for a HAF922 or CM690II Advanced or Lancool PC-K62 over it.

I'd also change the hard drive to the Spinpoint F3 1tb if it's cheaper, otherwise stick with WD.
