best computer build for less than 1000 dollars.

hi im looking for help building a gaming computer for less than 1000 dollars any help would be appreciated.

how does that cpu compare to an I7 920

AMD processors are better for gaming, if your doing video editing or heavy photoshop usage you should be using an i7-950 or a hexacore AMD CPU,
the 6870 destroys the GTX 460.

even though 6850 is whats going against the gtx 460 which also destroys the 460.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T what about this

the 6870 can play any game at that resolution.
& if your'e just gaming you don't need an intel CPU
The 1090T is a Hexacore processor,
you really dont even need thata Quad Core Processor like the one in the build would do fine.

that's extremely false. The i5 750 will outperform an amd phenom II x4 955 in everything. It's much better in video editing/encoding etc.. But it's still better in games. The amd is just a good choice for lower budgets because it allows for more $ for a better gpu.

There's sticky'ed links at the top of the Systems Forum with all sorts of build for all sorts of price ranges. $1k is one of the standards and in that thread there are at least 5 good builds.

if you want a CPU Cooler get the Hyper 212+ ($30) and Shin-Etsu TIM ($5) makes the total $1033. With Combo's you should be able to get all for under 1k
