i replaced my video card to ati 5770 and after that my computer is not posting or booting. i also tried putting my old video card and its also not working. Fans are all on, working as usual. But southbridge is getting hot. i have no clue what that suppose to mean.

i have checked video card, power supply, and hdd, they all seem to work on other computer.

i have a asus p5k motherboard. i dont have a system speaker, so i cant check my motherboard is dead or not.

Someone please help me fix this problem... Thanks in advance.

:hello: Welcome to the forums.

Get a system speaker. If you have a non-booting system, it is about the most valuable troubleshooting aid you can have. There is a lot of guesswork involved in troubleshooting, but without the beeps, all you can do is blindly change parts until the system works.

South bridges can run hot normally so that by itself doesn't mean much.
