i just bought this Synergy 21 S21610B DSL router with integrated modem from eBay Germany, but i'm having some problems configuring it. I live in Italy, and my german is not very good, but almost all documentation i found was in german, so i'm asking for help in english
First, the DSL port on the router was a RJ-45 port, while my ADSL line jack is a RJ-11 standard (telephone jack). How can i put these jack together?
Second, apart from the ADSL jack, i tried to connect my computer to the router, and the port LED on both router and NIC lit up, so connection is ok, only thing, i can't get the setup page of my router. In the router guide it says that the config page is at the address 10.0.0.2, but i can't get to it. So what's the story? It's the first time i try to setup a router, so i'm not very familiar, so any help would be appreciated. The router says it's a T-DSL router, does it mean it's unfit for my italian ADSL?
thanks for your time, any suggestions are welcome

When I did a student exchange thing to germany a while ago all the houses I saw had a dedicated RJ-45 internet port for what ever service they were paying for. It was crazy! That is probably why the router has an RJ-45 jack for the wan port even though it is a modem. I faintly remember them mentioning tdsl when I was over there, I guess that is german adsl or something. If italy doesn't have that service you are pretty much screwed As for the config page have you reset defaults on the modem? If you got it on ebay it probably has someone elses config still.
If your internet comes through a standard phoneline you will probably need a different router/modem. I doubt there is any sort of adapter to use the router you have
thanks for answering. Are you sure about this, i mean, as far as i know, DSL standards are pretty much the same, so routers and modems are quite universal. However i'll try sth to convert this stuff, afterwards, i'll sell it .
