Deference between Processors

what is the deference between Core 2 duo and core i3 processors

Core i3 is faster clock for clock, is based on a 32nm process, supports SSE 4.2, has faster integrated graphics and is a low/mid range cpu.

Core 2 Duo might support TXT and iAMT2 and is based on a 45nm or higher process, might have higher clock speeds and was a high end cpu. Key word is was. Today they are low end.

Not all Core 2 processors are "low end" some are still decent. My E8400 I just updated from at 4ghz was pretty darn quick.

Core i3 is a newer process and architecture. It also has hyperthreading.
