  1. 2TB is the max per drive and I believe 256 TB for the system.
  2. Maximum drive of 256TB, but you require a UEFI system to boot off a drive greater than 2TB. Only a few drives are available that are 3TB
  3. The answer I have received I think was given because I was not very clear with my question. I have a 32bit Compaq Presario C700 751NR laptop loaded with Windows vista Home Premium. The current internal hard drive is 120 GB, but I would like to replace it with the maximum capacity hard drive considering the laptop model and the operating system on it.

  4. I have a C714NR and I installed a Western Digital 500GB Blue drive. Vista 32 can manage 2000GB (2TB) with the BIOS that laptop has. But if you can find a laptop hard drive that big, let me know.

Anything you install will work as long as it is 2.5" SATA.
  5. 2TB is the limit.

However, no one has managed to design a laptop hard drive that has 2TB of capacity.
