Hi

Built a cheap gaming PC. Silverstone Sugo 6 mini itx case

Processor : E6750 2.66 Ghz (1333mhz FSB, 4mb cache socket 775)
RAM : 4gb Crucial ballistix 800Mhz (2 x 2gb)
Motherboard : Zotac G41 Mini ITX

GPU : Nvidia GT430

What can I do to make this a better casual gamer

(Upgraded the power supply to 450w - max for this case)

Would I be better off paying out on a Q6600, or buying a GTX 460 (or poss 560 if it will fit)

Thanks

I am not a fan of ATI. I like PhysX, and always had better experience with Nvidia

GTX 560 ok for this setup...with 450w PSU? I know it will be pushing it a bit

Guess you didn't read the link if you want Nvidia get a GTX460.

I know they are more powerful. I had a 5770 before, not impressed. I was more impressed with the performance from the GTX 460 (and to some extent the 450)

I have owned the 430, 450, 460 and 470 (which was a great card) with my core i3, then upgraded to a core i5

Everything (bar the 430) now sold as waiting for Intel to release motherboards for Sandy Bridge-EN socket R 2011, so I can build myself an 8 core (16 with hyper threading) system and quad channel memory.

This will also be PCIe v3.0, up to 20mb cache and memory bandwidth more than double that of socket 1155

But for now i'll stick with the core 2 duo ;)

I had them for cheap builds for casual gamers

When is the AMD 16 core BD coming out...

Intel have predicted Q3 2011 for socket R

I already said I will upgrade my CPU....not buying into socket 1155 with all the probs intel report on the P67 chipset etc.

They run fine. Running crysis on a GTS 450 with an i3

The GTX 460 was running with an i5 760, later used a GTX 470

"What's wrong with you"...they all ran my games perfectly at HD resolution (COD, MOH, BDBC2, JC2)...so what's the problem

Better than dropping the money on a GTX 480...oversized, over heating. A stop gap for the 5 series when they actually sorted fermi architecture out
