AOC LM960 won't go into STANDBY mode on SHUTDOWN

Hello,
I have an AOC LM960 monitor that won't go into standby mode when I shutdown Windows (7). I have to shut it off manually. I didn't have this problem when I had XP. I was told to update the graphic card drivers but I'm already using the latest drivers for my nVidia Geforce 210 card. What can I do to solve this problem?

Why don't you just shut it off? I hate the light blips when they are in sleep/standy.

There were no light blips when it was in standby. I just want to solve this problem of my monitor not going into stanby mode when I shutdown Windows 7. I just want to shutdown my computer and have it go into standby mode automatically just like in the past when I had XP.
