Hello guys. I am new to building pc so this might be a stupid question.. i want to know if installing a fresh new windows 7 is required for a new motherboard.

and if i install a new windows 7, does that mean i would have to download all the games and files that were stored in my harddrive?

No. You may have to call Microsoft for a key to allow it to extend your license to use the new MB. This can happen when you replace a major component or "too many" components. You won't know until you try it.

yes, you will have to start anew...just make sure you keep the games saved data and replace the folders one you reinstalled them.....once you replace the profile folders your progress is where you left off
