What can be the problem if wii fii of the is not connecting to the wiifii nwtwor

I have a LG GD 900 Crystal phone and i do setup the WEP via ad-hoc network on my laptop , the problem is that thephone detects the network but never connects to it where as my i touch nd othe i phones do connect nd internet works , i am nt able to figure out why ...help please...

Have you tried setting up with wireless security disabled -- most ad hoc connections I detect seem to have no wireless security.

Why are you using WEP anyway -- the most popular current standard is WPA PSK TKIP ?
