Hello, I was wondering if this a is a good built playing black ops, Starcraft 2 and other FPS's at full settings with around 40+ frame rate.

CPU, check, quad-core is good.

Motherboard, go to Newegg.com and look for some top rated ones.

RAM: I highly recommend 4GB of GSKILL Ripjaws DDR-1600, they are much better then Patriot.

Hard Drive, go Samsung Spinpoint F3 or F4.

Optical Drive, check

Graphics Card, definite check, that card will tear through games,

Case, check

PSU, go with a 700 watt Corsair of OCZ.

Overall this system with the few changes I suggested should definitely play the games you wanted. And not only play them, but play them with really good settings.

Change it to a 955... cheaper, and the same (practically)

Should I get 4GB's or 6GB's

4gigs, the 6 gigs are for Intel X58 socket CPUs... (most i7s) the AMD only support dual channel, which goes 2, 4, 8, 16, ect...
