X-Fi Titanium HD & Optical Sound

Hey guys, I recently switched to a Titanium HD & wanted to use my PS3 with it for audio. The audio seems to work fine for Blu-Ray movies and in the menus, and even for some games bought off the PSN store. But for some reason, every disc-based game has no sound in-game if I enable any 5.1 sound option (Dolby & DTS), but it DOES work if I switch off those 2 options and go for 2.0 PCM audio. Does anyone know any way around this? I find it odd that the movies would work but not the games. When I look in the Entertainment mode in the Creative Console, I notice that in the Digital I/O section it says 'Unknown or invalid signal' in the Digital-In and S/PIDF-In sections. Is this indicative of anything? =\ Any help would be appreciated.

there arent many soundcards out there that can decode dolby and dts signals.
