M4A87TD EVO AM3+?

has anyone tried a hack for this board?
i noticed other AM3's with 870 chipsets that support bulldozer.
if i could slide the chip in place of this 955 i would grab one.

Why risk your board for bulldozer; it's a power hungry cpu that benefits servers, not gamers. Read anandtech's review http://www.anandtech.com/show/4955/the-bulldozer-review-amd-fx8150-tested.

when i load into black ops the CPU maxes out.
the SSD is fast enough, i have 16GB of ram, 570 vid card, and the CPU is the weakest link.
i need mo power!

Zambezi is a good CPU if not a giant killer.

AMD has advised that they are only approving 990 chipset mobos for Zambezi CPUs but if a mobo maker wants to properly design and produce an AM3 mobo with the 800 series chipset as some have done it is OK with AMD. The 800 series chipset is not designed to run the RAM at 1866 Mhz. as Zambezi uses by default but it might still be able to OC the right RAM to run at 1866 MHz. or you could just leave it at 1600 MHz.
