Hi everyone,

New to the forum. Id consider myself computer literate but when it comes to the specs of hardware i get lost.

Heres my current system
Dell Inspiron 530- Full tower not slim
Windows 7- 32 bit
Processor- Q6600, 2.4, 8MB, Core Duo Quad
3 GB RAM- 2 Dual In-Line Memory Module 512, 800M, 64X64, 8, 240, 1RX8
2 Dual In-line Memory Module 1GB, 800, 128X64, 8, 240, 1RX8
EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
Power supply is dell standard- i think 350W
Motherboard- unknown
Hard Drive, 500GB, S2, 7.2K Western Digital, XL320
DVD ROM- Dvd+/-rw, 16X, Half Height, BARE, Plds

I want to rebuild- My goal is to do one part at a time as money doesnt flow freely. Where do i start, what are some decent products for PSU, Motherboard, RAM that are not crazy expensive.

Heres a link to the manual

Thank you very much for any help in advance

Your system is pretty nice and thus I don't think upgrading piece by piece is very ideal. Just save all the money you get and build a brand new PC next year when Sandy Bridge comes out.

My thoughts.

I know you posted this two years ago but I have the same computer and am considering upgrading it...I am curious if you ever did that or if you just bought a new one? I am having an issue with mine continuously rebooting and so I am thinking of starting with a new video card.

Thanks for any input!
