Need help - no sound

Hello again people,

I recently formatted my drive, and when I try to get the drivers from the Biostar website for my motherboard audio and install them then restart; no results! Like it was never installed! It shows up in the add/remove programs thing in the XP Control Panel but there's no Realtek thing in the tray at the bottom-right corner of the explorer. What is happening here, any ideas? I've tried device-manager drivers also and I can't find the disk that my motherboard was shipped with.

go to control panel-then sound options, and see if the onboard is set to default.
