Using bios 5002 when Asus say's I should be using 1201

I think I'm running the wrong bios. I have a ASUS M2N32 SLI deluxe Motherbord with a AMD Athlon 64x2 6400+ Dual Core Prossesor. A while ago I tryed upgrading my CPU to AMD HDZ940XCJ4DGI Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Quad Core. So I updated my bios to 5002. Asus support say's for the AMD Athlon 64x2 my bios should be 1201. My computer is running great. Better than it ever has. Like the old saying goes. If it isn't broke. Don't fix it. But should I replace bios 5002 with bios 1201 ?

When they specify BIOS version it is missing the prefix "Since" therefore newer BIOS'es than that listed version are fine. You have the newest version which includes all the fixes in the previous ones!

The probable reason (if an app is balking) is Beta vs non-Betas; Beta Version 5002 and non-Beta BIOS 2207. Also, IF you see e.g. "Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (CZ),2MB,rev.F3,89W,SocketAM2 ALL 1201" the 1201 is the MINIMUM required BIOS, and ALL the BIOS afterwards will contain the CPUID information including 5002.

However BIG PROBLEM, 'AMD HDZ940XCJ4DGI Phenom II X4 940 BE' is NOT supported by your MOBO - period! It is running dummied-down, for a CPU to run and run properly the BIOS MUST contain the CPUID! If I'm linking to the wrong MOBO, see below, please link your correct MOBO.
