So I have my SSD setup with windows on it as a boot drive as it is only 30gb. Have my 500GB storage drive with my downloads and stuff on it.

Anyway so i have a .rar file downloaded to my storage drive and i'm trying to extract it to another location on the storage drive but every time i do so it says my SSD is full, can't seem to work this one out.

Is my winrar trying to extract it via the SSD and then into D: ?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Have you checked to see how much space is available on your SSD drive? If yes, how much space is available? Just out of curiosity, how much RAM do you have installed?

I think the problem is either the windows temp folder or the Winrar temp folder. Winrar often extracts to local drive first and move data later to destination.

Open winrar and goto the options. You can change the temp folder used by winrar to something on your storage drive. A more global solution for a 30GB SSD would be to move the windows temp folder from c to d in general.
